5 Habits of Highly Successful Exotic Dancers

Here are 5 qualities that are ALL shared by successful dancers.  If you can incorporate these habits into your lifestyle and work ethic, you will be joining the elite of the elite.  Your income will increase dramatically.  And your perspective about life itself will change.  It will take a bit of work to integrate these traits into your life but you will be well rewarded by doing so.

1.  Be Proactive!  Being proactive is one of two responses to any given situation.  You can be proactive or reactive.  The difference is when you are reactive you blame other people and circumstances for your problems.  Like blaming someone for getting you too drunk at work, spending too much time with a friend at work, or a customer ruining your nite and your ability to make money that day.  Being proactive is the exact opposite.  You have the ability to observe your situation or problems, at home or at work, and have the ability to do something about it.  You actively are making choices all the time and you have the capabilities to ultimately alter how your lifes goes in the next minute, hour, or days.  Take responsibility for what you do!

2.  Begin with the end in mind!  Visualization is important for being successful in life.  And successful dancers know what they want and how to get it.  They view themselves as successful and beautiful, and capable of doing what they set their mind to.  Viewing yourself positively influences how you feel about yourself, and will reflect in your personality at work and in other parts of your life.  Confidence is sexy, and sexiness makes alot of money in this line of work.

3.  Put First things First!  Prioritization of short term goals is monumental to being successful in life.  If you are trying to save for something or have a bill that’s due like yesterday, you must set out how you are going to fix these wants or needs.  Focus on results and what will take you there.  If you have to make so much that nite, think about how you are going to achieve that.  How are you going to go about doing it, and what will you do when you do achieve your goal.  Flying by the seat of your pants is not something a successful dancer does.

Think Win/Win!  This is more about thinking positively for negative circumstances that will occur at work or in life in general.  Think of something that will benefit you even though you being faced with a delimma at work, whether it’s problems with staff, other dancers, or even customers.  If you are able to make yourself ok with what has happened, and think of a solution that will nullify the other person’s feelings on the problem, everyone comes out ahead.  And while this can be a very cut throat business, it doesn’t mean you have to be.  Club owners will come to respect and value you even more if you are coming up with solutions instead of causing problems.

5.  Sharpen the Saw!  This doesn’t really pertain to work, but it does to your personal life.  Pursue what makes you happy.  It will keep you in a positive mood, and will make you want to be more successful at work.  Unwinding in a positive manner, rewarding yourself for a great nite at work.  These are immediate gratifications that show you what you can accomplish and will keep you doing what makes you successful.  It’s also great for your state of mind, which in this business, can be a real ego killer sometimes.  Take care of yourself, because there are very few others who will do it for you.
